Greek Islands

The Greek islands are often treated as interchangeable, but they’re anything but. Living in Greece has made the differences clearer, from how easy an island is to move around to how it feels once the day-trippers leave.

I tend to gravitate towards islands that sit a little off the main trail, though I still appreciate the appeal of the more popular ones. These guides bring together the places I’ve found work best, where to stay, where to eat well, beaches that don’t feel overwhelmed, and the practical details that help you work out which island suits you.
